Backfilling Septic Repair

The septic season is almost upon us.  This is a picture from last week of us backfilling our latest septic system installation.  Due to a cold and snowy winter we have been doing more snow removal than septic jobs, but that hopefully will be changing soon.  The red stake in the center of the picture is used to help us  achieve the correct amount of cover over the new septic system.  Too much cover over the system and the system doesn’t get enough oxygen and if the system has too little cover than it can be damaged if a car drives over it.
