No Candy Cane Vent on this Septic System

Here is a picture of a leaching field made out of plastic ADS leaching chambers. This type of technology allows a smaller foot print than conventional stone and pipe systems. Also, these systems can be installed using all sand. This particular system is vented to allow more air flow into the leaching field which in turn promotes the growth of the good bacteria that digest the septic effluent. I know people think that vent pipes are ugly and serve no purpose, but they are a  very important part of a properly functioning leaching field.
