Corroded Distribution Box
Here is an example of how the concrete reacts to septic gases over the course of many years. If you look closely at the picture, you can see how the concrete is just falling apart. The walls of the D-Box are made of 2″ thick concrete and this Distribution box is so badly corroded that I could push a screw driver through the 2″ thick concrete wall with no effort at all. In order to pass the title 5 inspection the Distribution box must be replaced.
